What Musical Genre Do You Feel Best Describes Your Music And How Would You Describe Your Sound?

Hip Hop 100 percent Hip Hop!! Substance filled with imagery driven music!! Regardless the type of rap it is the mood, or setting its great subject matter with a keen focus on visualization. Ill describe my music as thought provoking! Heavily cultured! You'll get a lot of instrumentation and Pre-Hurricane Katrina NoLa (New Orleans) vibes. I can sway as far as sound depending on what I'm trying to relay but the meat and potatoes of my sound is Instrumentation & substance driven.

How Did You Get Your Name? Is There A Story?

wow! there is a 3 part story to my name it originated early 1990s I was in intermediate football. In Gretna on the West side of New Orleans, Louisiana we had a coach named Coach B! Rest In Peace to Coach Emanuel Boseman man, he was instrumental in a lot of youth lives back then. I was Offensive & Defensive lineman at 10 years old (I was a chunky preteen lol), When it was time to pick equipment no helmet couldn't fit me so they had to order me a bigger size helmet because I got a kind of big head lol. So that's how I gained my 1st Nickname which was Shoe Box, referring to me having a shoebox shaped head. So from 10 yrs old up until maybe 13 teen it was Shoe Box as a nickname & as far as my rap name from the ages of 12 to 16 teen it changed C-Money, 2 Pac 1/2 (don't Laugh), L.N.I.B. , Black Ghost, & Da Adolescent. So during those years Shoe Box turned into just Box because I was a good fighter, coming up in the 90s in NoLa you had better know how to fight. Then R.I.P. to Damien "Peanut" Higgins a childhood friend started tagging our set & my nickname with Box spelled with two X's for knockout so it stuck. At that time we were kind of gaining traction musically, but it was the Super predator era of the Clinton's so myself and a lot of people from our ares fell victim to those laws and did prison time for things we were involved in. In prison I met a guy named Mark from Mississippi hes the one who actually gave me the -A-Million. He used to always walk pass and and say Boxx-A-Million you're gonna be a Millionaire!! So after doing time I wasn't an adolescent anymore I went in at 16 teen doing adult time came out 19 teen a grown man! so taking Boxx what everybody already knew me as & was like Ok this is it!

It varies, depends on what the song is for. I like to be in different head spaces for diff content. Sometimes I have to put my self there or other times its the vibe of creating everything right there on the spot from the track to laying down the vocal and sometimes the pre-mix/edit & or mix.

How Has Social Media Influenced Your Career As An Artist?

For the most part its been great, it has its pros and cons. Sometimes it fells as if you cant be Batman & Bruce Wayne anymore because the followers constantly need content so its overkill with personal things when you're not paying attention or you loose engagement when not on there constantly.
